Buckled Wheel Repair

A buckled alloy wheel is one that has become bent or warped, most commonly from everyday road impacts such as potholes or kerb damage. Even minor impacts can put stress on the wheel and cause it to lose its true shape.

What causes a buckled wheel?

Buckling is usually caused by hitting potholes, speed bumps, uneven road surfaces, or kerbs. UK roads are especially prone to this kind of damage, often without drivers realising straight away.

Why it’s a problem

Driving with a buckled wheel can lead to vibrations through the steering wheel and reduced handling, making the vehicle unsafe at speed. Over time, it can also cause uneven tyre wear and place extra strain on suspension components, leading to further costly repairs if left untreated.

At Essex Power Coating, we can assess and repair buckled alloy wheels to restore safety, performance, and ride comfort.
